Making Adorable Animal Affirmation Stickers

Boy, has it been a learning experience ‘trying’ to create physical products for my shop!

First, I thought I’d try making stickers because they are OH, so cute! (Honestly, I get a bit paranoid about sticking them ‘permanently’ on things but, now I have two of my stickers on my devices — laptop and iPad — so I guess I just needed the right stickers!)

So, then it was hours of researching what kind of paper should I print on? Does it matter what printer I have? Should I get matte or glossy? Do I need to laminate it? (oh god).

And then, I had to think about cutting out my own stickers by hand… with scissors. *Gulp. Patience has never been my strong suit. OK, but otherwise I have the option of purchasing a $250+ sticker cutting machine. And nevermind that I would need to do hours of more research to figure out which one I should invest in (!). (Silouette seems to be what I’ve landed on for now.)

But I’ve also decided that since I have no idea if ‘Shiuan’s Studio’ will indeed turn into ‘Shiuan’s Sticker Shop’ mogul empire, I might need to just cut them out by hand. For now.

I purchased these adorable animal graphics from an online marketplace called Creative Market. Here is the awesome illustrator I purchased them from. Important note: if you are purchasing them for resale on your own original products, then you will need to purchase the commercial license for them. There is a separate price for just personal use as well.
