why the world does not want you to ride a motorcycle
(And by “World,” I mean this capitalist society. Not the Universe, whom I believe to be on our side.)
(This is not meant to be a negative party-pooper, but to show why the reluctance and fear and discouragement is not all just in your head.)
Why the world does not want you to ride a motorcycle—
Because the world wants you to stay in your place. Because if you started riding a motorcycle and started feeling freaking powerful and amazing, then you wouldn’t put up with all the crap in other parts of your life.
Because if you started riding an actual MOTORCYCLE, then you’d start seeing and realizing how absolutely incredible and awesome you are, and start standing up for yourself at work and at home. And stop taking crap too.
You’d start taking yourself on self-care retreats. And saying, Hey, I deserve this. I deserve to feel this good and passionate and excited about life and living. Everyday. I get to go ride at Track Days, even though it’s just adults playing in an expensive sport, and it doesn’t benefit anyone else around me, but ME.
No, the world doesn’t encourage you to go on dirt bike riding events for women and adventure riding training for women, because then how the heck would they keep you down if you’re impressing the hell outta yourself on your bike?
You would be feeling so POWERFUL— and not just powerful, but loving life and so exhilarated, you wouldn’t care about the small things anymore.
You wouldn’t care about the b—s at work anymore.
You’d just want to keep playing and practicing and honing your skills and loving being in a community of other beautifully amazing, strong, powerful women kicking ass and having fun, taking charge and living their biggest, boldest, badass LIVES.
That’s how you would feel.
If you rode motorcycles.
You would finally get to be YOU.
